Meet ON THE BIKE PATH at the bottom of the steps of the Huntington Beach Pier. Arrive early to find free parking (further away), or park on Main Street and use a parking meter. Orange Ave is a good place to find street parking.
About the Run: This 13 mile (approx.) “lollipop loop” starts at the Huntington Beach Pier and follows the bike path until the sidewalk ends around mile 5. From there, you will cross PCH via the crosswalk and then cross Warner near the fire station to get into the beautiful Bolsa Chica Wetlands (hard packed dirt path). As you leave the ocean views of Bolsa Chica State Beach you’ll see beautiful seabirds in the wetlands and mountain views. After going through the wetlands you will follow the dirt path that ends at Talbert Ave. Follow Talbert and make a right on Edwards (HILL) and then another right on Overlook Dr. Overlook will turn into Seapoint Street where you will cross PCH via the crosswalk and get back on the path to the HB pier. Several bathrooms and water fountains on the HB trail. Turn by turn instructions will be posted in the "discussion" section of this event.
Here is a Strava link to the run: https://www.strava.com/activities/4370852648
For a shorter distance, you can go out-and-back on the HB path in either direction.
To add miles, you can go out-and-back on the HB path in either direction.
After the run: Baja Sharkeez, Session's West Coast Deli, and other options nearby. Pacific City is only about a half mile away and has many options including a Philz Coffee.
