Meet in the parking lot of LA Fitness (3960 Barranca Pkwy, Irvine, CA 92606) at Culver Drive and Barranca Pkwy in Irvine.
About the Run: This is an easy, flat, out-and-back run that can be as short or long as you need. The run starts on the San Diego Creek Trail (Mountain to Sea Trail) at Culver and heads toward UC Irvine and Back Bay.
1. First water stop (1 mile mark) is at Bill Barber Memorial Park (baseball fields on the left). Drinking fountain and restrooms are available here.
2. Second water stop (~2.5 mile mark) is at Michelson Dr overpass/Boomers.
3. Third water stop (~4.5 mile mark) is just past UCI near the intersection of University and California (Anteater ballpark on left), and before the 73 Toll Road/MacArthur overpass.
4. The 5 mile mark is when you hit Jamboree at the Back Bay.
5. For a 20-miler training run, you can continue along the Back Bay path all the way around our favorite Back Bay Classic Loop.
