Starting location: North Justice Center (formerly North Orange County Municipal Court), 1275 N. Berkley, Fullerton. Parking at south end of lot next to trail.

Directions from Irvine: 5 Fwy north, 57 Fwy north, 91 Fwy west. Take Harbor exit (Exit 28) Stay in the middle lane, go straight at the first light (Lemon), turn right (north) at the second light (Harbor). Left at Berkeley (1 3/4 miles). Park in Courthouse parking lot on the left.

About the run: We will be running part of the popular Fullerton Trail Loop used by runners, bikers and equestrians. The main route will be a 10.6 mile out and back run, 95% trail. There are shorter options for 5 or 6.8 miles total, or any distance out and back. The shorter (“kinder, gentler”) route is a gradual uphill (200 ft.) and will cross on major traffic light. The longer option has 1000 ft. elevation gain (less than El Moro) will cross two more streets. NO bathrooms or water at the start but Starbucks and McDonalds 0.5 miles from start are options. Water at 0.9 miles, water and bathrooms at 2.5. As with any trail run, IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO CARRY YOUR OWN WATER.

After the run: Back Bear Diner with A Snail’s Pace. If you’re in a rush, there are many good coffee options nearby as well!
